~Snow Angel~

This sweet lil Snow Angel is made with a real pine cone and sparkles so pretty in person. She is about 6 inches tall and her wing span is almost 6 inches across. Her head is made of clay and her eyes are glass. I have sugar-coated her...but the pictures are not picking that up too well.

Here wings are made of paper on the front and back and then double backed for durability. Then the edges are finished with silver glass glitter. Her little star is also finished with glass glitter and both will tarnish over time.

Her arms are made of chenille stems. Her collar is made of paper and finished off with glass glitter. ~Snowfolk Stocking~

So much sweeter in person. This lil guy snowfolk head is made of clay and is "sugar-coated" for sweetness and sparkle. The stocking and snowfolk measures 12 inches tall and is finished with a woolen with crystal center.

Quilt shoppe fabric for the stocking and wool felt trim and then finshed off with wire tinsel.

A double backed paper hat and very sturdy, finished with garland. Snowfolk has glass eyes and a gather paper ruffle around his neck, finished in glass glitter.

Snowcones are made of a paper mache cone, with paper overlay. The heads are made of woof felt. Embellished with papers. glitters, glass eyes and such. The aqua snow cone is about 16 inches tall and the cream snowcone is about 11 inches tall, from the tip/top of their hat, down to the rusty bell.

Another offering for my ~Olde Thyme Simples~ Collection. I love the look of these stockings. They are reminiscent of days of yester-year.

I have hand stitched vintage wire tinsel on them and of course I had to add REAL German glass glitter stars to the front. The display stick is not included in the sale of the stocking(s). You can purchase one, two or all three...
Each stocking is made of high quality quilt shoppe fabric. They measure 14 inches tall, from the top of the garland to the end of the toe...
I have added a REAL glass glittered star to each stocking and it will tarnish over time, for a thyme worn look...
The stockings have a large, rusty pin which serves as a hanger for the stockings...
The stars are 2 inches wide and are embellished with a crystal, at the top...
You can hang the stockings as a grouping or on an olde cupboard door, to add a vintage look for the Christmas Season. They are a Back Porch Pickins Original and if you should want the back of them signed, please let me know...otherwise, they will not be signed...

~Olde-Thyme Simples~

I am shaking things up a bit...I am going back to ~Olde-Thyme Simples~ for a while. I had so much FUN making this Vintage style Santa, he some-what reminds me of a Belsnickle. I am so happy with the way that he turned out and pictures do not do him justice...

Santa is 10 inches tall and is made of aged osnaburg. His suit and hat are made of stained wool felt, trimmed out in cream colored wool felt and all handstitched in place... He has some trim up the front, with rusty pins and bells attached for added detail...
His eyes and lips are stitched with floss and his hair, is of the finest...alpac fiber and is all securely needle felted in place. His hair is all the way around, so no bare head in the back. I have also trimmed his hat with some wired silver tinsel...
I have made for Santa a neat little garland, that he holds in his "wired" arms. The stars are made with REAL German glass glitter and will tarnish over time, for a thyme worn look. His arms are pose-able and the garland is removable...
He does stand, with a wee-bit of help...I proped him up against the cupboard and jugs for the pictures. I have also made a little hanger in the back, if you should want to hang him. I do have more then one available and may also list them on ebay in time...

~Snowfolk Trinket Box~

Welcome to my **NEW BLOG** Here you will only find things that I make for SALE to purchase! It is much easier then updating my website and has such easy access. This Snowfolk Trinket box is the very first handmade for SALE here on my "HANDMADE" blog. This is for one of a kinds, no duplicates will be made....

Okay, lets get down to the details of the sweet ol' trinket box...Snowfolk is a nice size, measuring in at 7.5 inches tall. His head is made of paperclay, handsculpted with my two hands. I have mounted him to a wooden box and the lid does remove, so it is fully functional...

His box is painted, stenciled and antiqued. The box is 4 inches wide and has been signed and sealed...

I have given SNOWFOLK a very neat crackle finish and here you can see all of his "lumps of coal" that I have sculpted...

I have given him a ruffled collar, made of high quality, quilt shoppe fabric...
His hat has been decked out for a vintage look and is complete with silver wired tinsel trim, red tinsel, a crystal embellishment and a woolen...
A bit of a down shot, so that you can see more detail. His hat is carefully glued into place and is very secure...
I have added several layers of papers, handstamped, glittered, raised and added fancies...love the look of this and it was so much fun to add...
